Justin Bieber: My faith is stronger than it was two years ago

A social media frenzy arose the moment it became apparent that Justin Bieber was in Sydney Australia to attend Hillsong Conference 2017. I couldn’t resist the urge to make it one of my personal goals for the week to find him, and get an inside scoop with the young popstar.

Sadly, this story is no such exclusive, but instead, a recap of the interview that the Hillsong Channel scored with Bieber! *sigh*

“I just enjoy seeing people worship, praising God.” – Justin Bieber

In the notable and sometimes amusing interview that includes everything from tangerine boots to teeth-brushing, international pop star Justin Bieber recently told Hillsong Channel: “I just enjoy seeing people worship, praising God.”

The interview was filmed at this month’s Hillsong Conference 2017 and while Bieber has always been relatively public about his Christian faith, the singer/songwriter has become bolder and more explicit about his beliefs.

“My faith grows every day, so my faith is stronger than two years ago; better, wiser, kinder.” – Justin Bieber

The interview was hosted by Rich Wilkerson Jr, and features Bieber, Carl Lentz (Pastor of Hillsong Church New York) and Chad Veach (pastor of Zoe Church in Los Angeles). Bieber attended Hillsong Conference two years ago and when asked what has been different for him this year, he said: “My faith grows every day, so my faith is stronger than two years ago; better, wiser, kinder.”

With more than 90 million followers on his Instagram alone, the frequency of Bieber’s “faith-based” posts, as well as photos of himself with Lentz, seem to have recently increased.

As the Hillsong Channel interview supports, Bieber and Lentz clearly have a close friendship and mentor-type relationship. It’s quite cute really.
