“Viewers have overwhelmingly told us they want more.” – Dallas Jenkins

“Every time we’ve dipped our toes in the theatrical waters, viewers have overwhelmingly told us they want more,” said The Chosen‘s creator and director, Dallas Jenkins. “After seeing the Season 4 episodes, we knew we’d be doing our fans a disservice if we denied them the chance to see them on a big screen with others they can laugh and cry with.”

The premiere was recently announced to thousands of fans at The Chosen Insiders Conference in Dallas, Texas. Now viewers who were captivated by the emotional walking on water finale of Season 3 can pick up where the show left off.

“I didn’t want to do Christian movies.” – Dallas Jenkins

In the meantime…

While we wait for February, why not get a group together to catch up on (or rewatch) the first three seasons?

Season One introduced Jesus and his initial disciples. Season Two showed him continuing to build his group of followers, facing difficulties and opportunities, while his preaching and healing ministry began to spread. Season Three presents Jesus as a profoundly compelling figure amid growing hostility from political and religious leaders.

In the early days of The Chosen‘s shocking success, director Dallas Jenkins told Eternity how he used to cringe at the idea of making Christian films until God changed his mind and enabled The Chosen with some ‘impossible math’. Years later, millions of fans are thankful that Jenkins took on the task.

More information is available on The Chosen‘s website, where the show’s first three seasons can be streamed for free.
