NSW the state that needs prayer, asks you to join in

With a COVID outbreak and lockdown in Sydney that might get the Australian record, NSW is a state that needs prayer. Key leaders from across the denominations will join in prayer on Wednesday, August 18, in zoom sessions organised by Family Voice Australia.

Leaders signed up to pray include

  • The Most Reverend Kanishka Raffel – Anglican Archbishop, Diocese of Sydney (Opens the session at 8:00am)
  • Tanya Davies – NSW MP
  • Nathan Brown CEO – Christian Media & Arts Australia
  • Rev Peter Barnes – Moderator-General Presbyterian Church of Australia
  • Most Rev Bishop Richard Umbers – Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney
  • Rev Hon Fred Nile MLC
  • Nick Farr-Jones – former Wallabies Captain
  • Rev Dr Steve Bartlett – Director of Ministries NSW/ACT Baptist Churches
  • Peter Bentley – Assembly of Confessing Congregations
  • Rev Peter Robinson – Governing Board FamilyVoice (NSW)
  • Rev Viniana (Vinnie) Ravetali (Chair) Sydney Presbytery Standing Committee Uniting Church NSW
  • John Anderson, former Deputy PM

They will pray for the sick, lonely, depressed, homeless, students, isolated, families, small businesses, unemployed, those on the border of alcohol and gambling addictions and especially for all our health workers and government leaders working under COVID-19.

“The NSW lockdowns highlight the support needed for those less able to cope with the pressures of a lockdown such as HSC students, the lonely and the elderly, Greg Bondar NSW/ACT Director & Prayer Coordinator for Family Voice. “We are not ‘all in this together,’ as some are less able to cope than others, especially mums and dads trying to cope financially with no jobs or an income”
