Bible Society Australia (BSA) is committed to making the Bible available to all. We are seeking a committed and passionate Church and Community Relations Representative with outstanding skills in building and maintaining relationships in order to continue BSA’s important mission; to champion the Bible to share the love of Jesus.

This full-time role is based in Adelaide and reports to the National Manager – Church Relations which is part of the Strategic Partnerships Team operating throughout Australia.

The key purpose of this role is to identify, engage, steward and grow strategic partnerhsips with churches of all denominations. The successful candidate will do this through visitations with ministers, pastors and church representatives.

The main objective of this position is to ensure BSA fulfils its mission by appropriately serving churches with a view to ultimately garnering financial support from them.

Key Criteria:

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in relationship development
  • Significant fundraising experience and a history of meeting KPIs
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills, ideally within a church context
  • The ability to organise your work independently, using your own initiative
  • A desire to further the Christian message through the work of BSA
  • Ability to work across different denominations
  • Willingness to present to Church and Community groups outside normal work hours including speaking at Churches and events on weekends and evenings when necessary 
  • The flexibility to travel within SA
