Crusaders is growing, and we need help to employ more staff! Are you keen to use your HR skills and experience to help Crusaders grow? Our ADMINISTRATION DIVISION is looking for an experienced HR Generalist, starting in August 2018.

This is a permanent, part-time position (0.6 FTE). This is a new role within the business and represents recognition by management of the need to boost our HR emphasis as the business grows significantly over the next few years. Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A strong and growing personal faith, evidenced by godly character, church and ministry involvement
  2. Experience working in HR
  3. Appropriate tertiary qualifications
  4. A solid understanding of relevant legislation, awards and relevant compliance requirements
  5. Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the business in all human resources related matters including:
    • Developing & maintaining effective HR policies & procedures
    • Provide advice to divisional heads on employment related matters including award interpretation
    • Support divisional heads with performance management
    • Work with divisional heads & finance team to manage annual remuneration review process
  • Work with senior management to ensure a healthy workplace culture exists throughout the business
  • Work with the training department and divisional heads to ensure the training needs of the business are being fulfilled including compliance and identifying staff needs
  • Manage the recruitment process of staff in conjunction with divisional heads including:
    • Particular attention to the employment of staff in the Summit Division in the initial period
    • Working with divisional heads to develop best recruitment strategies
    • Issuing employment contracts and paperwork
  • Oversee the legislative requirements of working with children including:
    • Ensuring all employees & volunteers comply with working with children policies & procedures
