Darlene Zschech releases a new album in time for Easter

This week, Australian singer, songwriter, worship leader and author Darlene Zschech releases her first live worship project since she and her husband Mark became the Senior Pastors of Hope Unlimited Church on the NSW Central Coast.

Four-time Grammy winner Israel Houghton produced the long awaited CD/DVD release – ‘Revealing Jesus’ – with special guest appearances from Michael W. Smith, Kari Jobe and Houghton.

Darlene says a pivotal song on the project is a seven-minute epic called Victor’s Crown which she co-wrote with Houghton and Jobe. Pundits believe the song is set to become an “Easter classic”.

Crossroad Distributors report ‘Revealing Jesus’ has just become the #2 best selling inspirational album on iTunes in Australia.

In other news, Naomi Striemer is the latest Canadian heading down under to tour. Over the past few years, Article One, Hawk Nelson, NewWorldSon, The Kry, Matt Thiessen (of Relient K) and Dan Bremnes have become regular visitors.

Striemer is best known for her song Cars which features Carlos Santana on guitar. Since signing with Sony at 18, Naomi has also worked with Mario Winans, Puff Daddy, and Randy Jackson. But Naomi’s career doesn’t stop in the pop world.

After an encounter with God, the singer – who Billboard Magazine hailed as an ‘Artist to Watch’ – stepped aside from ‘Hollywood’ to record several Christian albums, write a book, become a conference speaker, and host a nationally syndicated daily radio show.

She co-wrote her debut Australian single Earth And Sky with Andrew Fromm who has written #1 songs for Backstreet Boys, Westlife and Francesca Battistelli.

Striemer visits Australia in April for performances and conference engagements in Sydney and Port Macquarie.
