Qualifications and experience 

Tertiary qualified in communications, journalism, or similar
Minimum 2 years industry experience, agency experience preferable
Social Media industry knowledge

Position Summary

The Communications and Social Media Specialist is responsible for the day to day digital community management of CRU’s brands (Properties, Summit, Schools Min, Holiday Camps, Day Camps, Training) presence on digital platforms and the ongoing development and implementation of the CRU Social Media Strategy, including the engagement with social conversation, content and digital advertising. This person will also be responsible for the development and implementation of a corporate voice, the regular reviewing of all written content alongside the Director of Ministries, the Director of Marketing and the Executive Director. They will contribute regularly in the development and implementation of awareness, acquisition and retention campaigns for all sub-brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Division and other Divisional heads to develop and implement communication and social media strategies
  • Development and implementation of social media campaigns to increase the visibility of CRU and it’s sub-brands
  • Development and implementation of a communications plan to establish an organisational tone of voice and to guide all written communications
  • Ensure consistency and quality of communications across all social media outlets, digital presence, EDMs, printed material, radio etc.
  • Continued evaluation of the effectiveness of social media campaigns in awareness, acquisition and retention
  • Work effectively with the Design and Digital Specialist and the Marketing Coordinator to deliver excellence in organisational marketing activities
