Donor Relationships Manager (Financial Partnerships Team Leader)

As a result of the ongoing growth of AFES, we have developed a newly created role to build the staff support capability – Financial Partnerships Team Leader – based in Kingsford.  This role is integral in building systems, processes and policies that support our donors and our campus staff.  

The vision of AFES (Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students) is to prayerfully proclaim Jesus Christ at university to present everyone mature in him, reaching students at 55+ campuses in every state and territory of Australia. AFES employs staff and trains apprentices to serve Christ and support students in their Christian growth and witness.

Working in partnership with campus ministry staff to serve the campus staff and students, it is essential that applicants have a personal commitment to and alignment with the mission, vision, values and doctrinal basis of AFES.  

Key to success in the role will be improving systems and processes to ensure outstanding donor support and that AFES is easy to engage with.    

The successful candidate would have experience leading a small teamproven ability to deliver excellence in customer service, and an understanding of fundraising or donor management essentials.  can-do attitude, a strong service orientation, process improvement and problem solving approach are a must.  In addition, candidates with a relevant degree, experience in a Christian organisation and history of relationship with an AFES group would be considered highly desirable (but not essential).   

Candidates need to be permanent residents and able to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Check (or relevant State Equivalent). 

The role is full-time however part-time options will be considered for suitable candidates.  A 3 year contract will be offered to the successful candidate.
