The Bayside Adults Men’s Pastor is primarily responsible for the provision of high-level support and assistance to the Pastoral Care Pastor in the spiritual development and discipleship of Bayside Adults at Cheltenham Campus and Frankston Campus

 The Bayside Adults Men’s Pastor will oversee the pastoral care and discipleship of adult men at Bayside Church, which will include the development of network leaders and connect groups.

The Bayside Adults Men’s Pastor will be responsible for training and imparting Christian doctrine and implementing programs that help support Christian formation.

Selection Criteria

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Theology/Ministry with a minimum of five years’ experience in the field of pastoring
  • Capable of researching, preparing and preaching sermons
  • Demonstrated ability to train and empower leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in working with teams, particularly other pastors, lay leaders and volunteers
  • Capable of overseeing projects from start to finish
  • Willingness to generate and put forward creative ideas and be a part of the process to see those ideas come to fruition
  • An ability to carry out administrative duties
  • A demonstrated ability to train and empower leaders
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with church members of all ages
  • Liaise effectively with a diverse range of staff members and volunteers
  • High level of organisational skills to ensure effective completion of tasks within deadlines and the ability to undertake a variety of tasks simultaneously;
  • Ability to work independently and to contribute as a member of a busy team
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a flexible and adaptable attitude;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
