The ACT Churches’ Council is seeking a mature person of faith for the position of Christian Education In Schools Coordinator, to coordinate the delivery of Christian education in ACT government primary schools. Requires the ability to lead the delivery of prepared CEIS sessions across several schools each term and facilitate assisting volunteer teams. Relevant experience in teaching, children’s ministry or similar is highly desirable, with the ability and confidence to take independent responsibility for groups of primary-aged students and volunteers. Involves liaison with schools, parents, churches, CEIS volunteers, Churches’ Council and ACT Education and Training Directorate. Experience in areas such as staff/project management, strategic planning and public relations also desirable. Must demonstrate competent skills in communication, team-building, administration and use of relevant IT programs. Position a minimum 10 hours per week commencement and potential to about 25 hours per week depending on staff configuration during 2019-2020 and beyond.
