Bible Society Australia (BSA) is committed to making the Bible available to all. We are seeking a committed and passionate Church & Community Relations Representative who excels at building solid relationships to continue BSA’s important mission. This full-time role is based primarily in Sydney but encompasses regional NSW.  Reporting into the National Manager – Church Relations, this role is part of the National Fundraising Team which operates throughout Australia.

The key purpose of this role is to engage with churches to gain their support of BSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships between churches and BSA through visitations with ministers, pastors and church representatives, and for developing and partnering with Churches and other Christian groups.

The main objective of this position is to ensure BSA fulfils its mission by partnering with churches- to serve them by providing resources, and in doing so, gain financial support from them.

 Key Criteria:

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate:

 Solid experience in relationship development

  • Fundraising experience will be looked upon favourably
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills, ideally within a church context
  • The ability to organise your work independently, using your own initiative
  • A desire to further the Christian message through the work of the Bible Society
  • Ability to work across different denominations
  • Willingness to present to Church and Community groups outside normal work hours including speaking at Churches and events on weekends and evenings when necessary 
  • The flexibility to travel within NSW
